Innovid - multi layer content clickable canvases

TechCrunch reported about Innovid (and brought their site down...) new announced capability to "help advertisers move away from the pre-roll with technology that allows for things like virtual product placements inside videos and turning entire surfaces into clickable canvases."

The visuals are great, but even more interesting is the multi-layer content capability as shown in this image:

Great to see innovation from Israel.

Would be interesting to see if Veodia could assist them with content creation.

Good luck guys!

Slacker Radio - Updated Web UI

As I opened my favorite Web Radio I've noticed that they have updated the web UI to match the iPhone UI.
Main changes seems to be a tile view of station and album images, instead of the text list we saw before and a framing some lists and menus.
I like.

Hug a Developer

In recent weeks, I've worked hard with the Veodia team releasing the new version of the service as well as providing everyone with the ability to try the amazing video platform we've developed.

We had a good plan and the team executed very well. But as always, many things had to change at the last minute and many last minute changes were more costly then planed.

I saw this movie long time ago on Assaf Arkin's blog, and although I believe we did much better (then shown in the movie), I would like to express my thanks to the team and acknowledge their efforts.

Please join me and hug a developer.

Veodia - Free Trial of the Veodia Widget

Last night Veodia released a new version of its video platform for business.
In addition to 'enterprise' features, such as SSO, security, reports and integration to leading collaboration, sales, training and other systems, Veodia also offers a free trial of it 'Veodia Widget'.
Now you can register to the Veodia service and start uploading and recording high quality videos directly into the 'cloud'.

We've added demos to the Veodia site, showing video usage in business context, for example:
Sales, eLearning and collaboration.

In addition. Now you can register and try the Widget for free.
We added the ability to share the video by direct link or by an embed code.
I started using it to add video to my Twitter messages.

Link to video page

This is very exciting and I am very proud of the Veodia team.

Give it a try, use video for your business and send me your feedback.

Veodia - New Video Platforms Safely Bring YouTube Benefits To The Enterprise

In the latest report by Ted Schadler (Forrester's Vice President and Principal Analyst), Ted covers several companies and video solutions for the Enterprise.

"...Information workers have been posting confidential videos to YouTube because they've had few alternatives. Fortunately, in the past few months, three vendors - Google, Microsoft, and Veodia - have introduced services or products for securely hosting videos with enterprise access controls.

These services give information and knowledge management professionals a way to harness the power of corporate and employee-generated video to teach, inspire, and capture knowledge.

This report introduces the business scenarios, platform checklist, and vendors for employee-generated video..."

Great validation for Veodia's vision and amazing execution capabilities!

Web 2.0 vs. Enterprise 2.0 - The Short Answer(s)

So what are the differences between Web 2.0 and Enterprise 2.0?
So many opinions and Blogs about is, so, let me share my short answers, based on who is asking...

The kids version

Web 2.0 is where daddy plays, Enterprise 2.0 is where daddy works.

Another example: Office 2.0 Blog

The car fan version

Web 2.0 is as if your car was shown on 'pimp my ride'.
It is fully customized to your taste, so it is cool, noisy and unique.

Enterprise 2.0 is
like as if you car was shown on 'Top Gear'.
It is in mass-production, cost a lot and performs as good as it looks.

The philosophical version

Web 2.0 is a 21st century culture looking for a business (model), Enterprise 2.0 is a business looking for a 21st century culture.

The IT version

Web 2.0: "What is IT?"
Enterprise 2.0: "What is Web 2.0"

(Well, some of them do get it...)

The Mash-Up version

Web 2.0 is where you can mash-up anything you want. Just drag-n-drop, copy some embed codes, updated your blog and sync your twitter updates.
Enterprise 2.0 is where you expect to log-in to one system and have everything integrated and aligned with your business process.

The Cloud Computing version

Web 2.0 and Enterprise 2.0 companies use cloud computing. While Web 2.0 companies are looking for low costs and scalability, Enterprise 2.0 companies are looking also for security, redundancy/recovery capabilities and good PR...

The shirt version

Web 2.0 summit 2008 (I think...Cannot remember, so many of them)

SAP TechEd 2004... (from my private collection)

Feel free to use them if you like.
Comments are welcome.

Cloud Computing in Plain English

When I talk to people about Veodia, the "What is Cloud Computing?" question pops up once in a while.

The long 'text-based' answer, is, as always, at Wikipedia.

Some attempts to simply explain it by using video interviews of experts are available on YouTube. Such as:

rPath did a good job at it with a nice video.

Chatting with Jay Cross on informal learning and the un-book

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Jay Cross in person, after noticing him in SUN Learning Exchange the other day.

We shared some stories and had some laughs.

We shares some notes with a Veodia team by creating a short video note on our internal wiki.

We talked about the upcoming Corporate Learning Trends and Innovations 2008 event.

Jay also shared some ideas about the un-book and other project he is working on.

Veodia at Office 2.0 - Humanizing Communication

For the last 3 years, Office 2.0 has been a great opportunity for me to meet smart people, to learn about new technologies, and to experience new ways of getting business done.

I always look for the ‘human touch’ that's associated with this event.

This year, communication has reached a new level.
We are using a wiki to communicate and exchange ideas, and now we can make it even more personal — using video notes.

Veodia is again a proud sponsor, not only enabling the event with video recording of each session, but also allowing every participant to record his or her own videos — making Office 2.0 communication even more personal.

I am looking forward meeting you and having great conversations with you.
